Man jailed for attempted murder of baby
A man has been sentenced for the attempted murder of a baby in Aberdeen.
Stuart Flood, from Elgin, Moray, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment having been convicted following a trial at the High Court in Dundee.
The 28-year-old committed the offence over a three-month period in Aberdeen in 2021.
Detective Inspector Andrew Sharp, of Aberdeen’s Public Protection Unit said: “This was a senseless, sustained attack on a defenceless child resulting in serious injury, for which there is no justification.
"I would like to thank all the officers and partners across all agencies involved in this investigation who helped to secure the conviction and sentence."
