Man assaulted and racially abused in Harthill
An investigation is under way after a man was assaulted and racially abused in Harthill.
Around 7.20pm on Wednesday, 13 August, 2025, a 49-year-old man was walking along Miller Street, Harthill when a red Vauxhall Corsa stopped beside him. A man got out the car, assaulted him and made racial comments.
The suspect is described as white, aged between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a black coloured football top, dark coloured shorts and trainers.
The victim attended hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Detective Constable Verity Gregg said: “This has been an unprovoked attack on a man walking along the street. It is completely unacceptable. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around that time who may have information to get in touch with us. In particular, if you have any dash-cam or doorbell footage, please pass it on as it could provide additional information on the incident or suspect.”
