Appeal after serious assault in Beith

Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Beith.

Between 7pm and 8pm on Thursday, 21 August, 2025, a 28-year-old man was assaulted and had his car vandalised in a car park at Bellman's Close.

He was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse for treatment.

A 17-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Constable McBreen, Ayrshire CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are asking anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.

“If there is anyone with private CCTV or doorbell footage, or drivers in the area with dash-cam footage, we urge you to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3609 of 21 August.
