Appeal after home in Earlston broken into and robbed

Detectives are appealing for information following a housebreaking in Berwickshire.

The break-in happened at a property in West Burnview in Earlston sometime between 3pm and 4pm on Monday, 18 August, 2025.

The homeowner briefly left the property and returned to find the front door damaged and personal items missing.

Detective Constable Bernard Hennessy said: “We are appealing to anyone in the local area who has private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could help with our investigations to come forward.

“Additionally, anyone who saw anything or anyone acting suspiciously yesterday afternoon is asked to contact police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2883 of 18 August, 2025.
