Appeal for information following fatal crash near Blairadam
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the B996 at the junction for the B9097 near Blaireadam.
The crash took place around 10.50pm on Sunday, 17 August, 2025 and involved a black Seat Leon car.
Emergency services attended and a 22-year-old man, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is aware.
The 21-year-old male driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and his condition is described as life-threatening. A 20-year-old man, also a passenger, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed to allow for crash investigations to take place and re-opened around 10.30am.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and officers are appealing for information.
Sergeant David Farr said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time.
“I would urge anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the crash and witnessed what happened, or has any dashcam footage which could assist, to please get in touch with officers.”
