Appeal for information following fatal crash in Glasgow

Officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Glasgow.

The crash happened around 12pm on Thursday, 28 August, 2025 on the A82 – Great Western Road at Knightswood Road, involving a black Ford Puma.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, an 85-year-old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died.

Sergeant Neal Galbraith said: “Our thoughts are with the family of friends of the man who has died at this difficult time.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 1386 of Thursday, 28 August, 2025.
