Appeal for information following fatal crash in Glasgow

Officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Glasgow.

The incident happened around 3.50pm on Monday, 18 August, 2025 on Barrhead Road, involving a pedestrian and a bus.

A 64-year-old woman, the pedestrian, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

There were no reports of any other injuries.

Sergeant Adnan Alam said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who has died at this difficult time.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
