Appeal following wilful fires in Arbroath
Detectives in Angus are appealing for information following three wilful fires in Arbroath.
The incidents happened in the early hours of Thursday, 28 August, 2025, from around 4am onwards in Bloomfield Gardens, Bloomfield Road and Warddykes Avenue. Police were made aware around 9.40am.
The fires were extinguished prior to emergency services arriving. There were no reported injuries.
Detective Constable Darren Suttie said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of theses fire which we believe were wilful.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incidents and may have witnessed what happened or noticed anything suspicious to please contact us.
“In addition, anyone with private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage of relevance is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist.”
