Appeal following theft from ATM in Dumfries
Officers are appealing for information following the theft of cash from an ATM off Lockerbie Road in Dumfries.
The incident happened around 0.30am on Tuesday, 5 August, when several people broke into the machine in a store car park.
The suspects were wearing black clothing with facemasks and carrying heavy tools. They made off in a dark-coloured hatchback car that travelled onto the A709 towards Torthorwald.
Detective Constable Jim Kirkpatrick said: “This appears to have been a well-planned theft and enquiries are ongoing to trace those involved.
“We are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area before or after the theft to get in touch. Please also check any private CCTV footage you have to see if anything has been captured to assist with our investigation.”
