Appeal after serious crash on the A736 in Ayrshire

Officers are appealing for information following a two-vehicle crash on the A736.

The crash happened around 9.20am on Saturday, 2 August, 2025, at the junction Sharon Street, Torranyard. It involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a blue Vauxhall Grandland car.

A 46-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, the rider and passenger of the motorcycle, were taken to hospital, where their conditions are described as serious. A 34-year-old woman, a passenger in the car, was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed for around seven hours.

Sergeant Adnan Alam said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
