Two people charged following golf course damage, Ayr

Two people arrested in connection with damage to a golf course and a hotel on Maidens Road, Turnberry, have been charged.

A 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were arrested following enquiries in Oban on Wednesday, 26 March, 2025.

They are due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 16 April, 2025.

The incident was reported around 4.40am on Saturday, 8 March.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
