Appeal after disorder in Helensburgh
Officers are appealing for information after disorder in a residential area of Helensburgh.
Police Scotland received a report of a crowd gathering at a property at Buchanan Road, Helensburgh from 7.30pm on Monday, 28 April, 2025.
Officers attended and the crowd initially were peaceful, however, the gathering descended into disorder. Fireworks were thrown at a property and some of the attendees behaved in a reckless manner.
The crowd moved to the Johnson Court area of the town around 10.40pm before dispersing a short time later.
There were no arrests and no reports of any injuries.
Chief Inspector James McArthur said: "The disorderly behaviour that we saw last night was completely unacceptable.
"This incident continued until late at night, on a residential street and left members of our community frightened.
"Fireworks were thrown at a house that could have caused serious injuries to a member of the public.
"Anyone conducting themselves in a disorderly fashion or carrying out anti social behaviour will be dealt with with the full extent of powers available."
