Man named following fatal crash on A827 near Lawers

Road Policing officers are continuing enquiries into a fatal road crash which took place on the A827 in Highland Perthshire, involving a black Ducati M1200 motorcycle.

The incident happened about six miles east of Killin, near Lawers, around 4.25pm on Friday, 11 April, 2025.

The rider of the motorcycle has been named as 67-year-old Colin Campbell from Newton Broxburn. Colin’s family have asked for their privacy to be respected.

Sergeant Brian McEwen, of the Tayside Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Colin’s family and friends at this time.

“Our investigation into the full circumstances of the incident remain ongoing and I’d like to thank the public for their assistance to date, including two other motorcyclists who stopped at the scene and have since spoken with officers.”
