Car deliberately set on fire in Paisley
Detectives are appealing for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in Paisley.
Around 3.30am on Tuesday, 15 April, 2025, police received a report black Honda CRV was on fire in Morven Avenue, Paisley.
Emergency services attended and the fire was put out. The car has sustained significant damage.
Enquiries have established the blaze was set deliberately.
Officers have been checking CCTV footage from in and around the area.
Detective Constable Jack McElwee said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity prior to this incident occurring. Despite it being in the early hours of the morning, I would ask people with doorbell or dash cams to check their footage. There may be images which will assist our ongoing investigation.”
