Boy charged with road traffic offences after off-road bike is seized in Hawick
A 15-year-old boy has been charged in connection with road traffic offences after an off-road bike was seized in Hawick.
Police were on a patrol in the Lower Mansfield Road area of the town when they stopped the boy on the bike around 4.30pm on Tuesday, 8 April.
A report will be sent to the relevant authority.
Constable Robbie Reilly from Community Policing in Hawick said: “We are aware of concerns in the community relating to off-road bikes and associated anti-social behaviour.”
“This kind of activity will not be tolerated and we will continue to carry out patrols and make enquiries to trace those responsible.”
“I would encourage anyone with concerns or information to speak to officers or contact us via 101.”
