Appeal following wilful fire-raising in Fort William
Officers are appealing for information following a wilful fire-raising at a property in Fort William.
Police received a report of the fire in the Wallace Place area of the town around 0.50am on Friday, 25 April.
Emergency services attended and the fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. There were no reported injuries. Nearby properties were evacuated as a precaution.
Detective Inspector Andy Bilton said: “Fortunately no one was injured but this is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“We are asking anyone with information that could help with our investigation to get in touch, especially if you saw anything suspicious.
“Please also check private CCTV and dash-cam if you were driving in the area to see if anything has been captured that could assist officers.”
