Appeal after fatal crash on A96 near Huntly
A 78-year-old man has died following a crash in Aberdeenshire.
The incident happened on the A96 Aberdeen to Elgin road, near Huntly, around 11am on Wednesday, 23 April, and involved a black Skoda Camiq and a white Iveco box van.
Emergency services attended and the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other reported injuries.
The road is still closed with diversions in place.
Sergeant Pete Henderson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man that has died and the other driver involved in this incident.
“Thanks to the members of the public that stopped to provide assistance and other road users for their patience.
“Our investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing and I would urge anyone with information, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area, to get in touch.”
