Man sentenced to 18 months for shoplifting in Port Glasgow and Greenock
A 49-year-old man from Port Glasgow has been jailed for shoplifting throughout the Inverclyde area.
Kevin Nicholas was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Greenock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 9 April after carrying out a series of thefts and shoplifting in Greenock and Port Glasgow.
Sergeant Scott Clark said: "Nicholas is a brazen and prolific thief and his actions have impacted local businesses, so I am pleased to be able to give them some respite and remove him from our streets.
"I hope this reassures business, their customers and members of the public that we treat this type of offending seriously and will do everything we can to protect them from crime."
