Appeal after fatal fire in Paisley

Detectives are appealing for information after a fatal fire in Paisley.

We received a report of a building on fire in Barterholm Street, Paisley around 11pm on Sunday, 6 April, 2025.

Emergency services attended and seven people were taken to hospital with a 38-year-old woman dying from her injuries on Wednesday, 9 April.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.

Detective Inspector Euan McMillan said: "Our thoughts are with the woman's family and friends at this very difficult time.

"Our enquiries into the fire are ongoing and we are looking for anyone with information that could be useful to contact us.
