Man arrested and charged in connection with Annan death

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man in Annan.

Around 6.55am on Tuesday, 19 November, 2024, officers were made aware of a fire at a property on Lady Street.

Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

The body of a 58-year-old man was found within.

The 33-year-old is due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on 21 November 2024
