Update fatal crash – Whitehouse Road, Edinburgh – man arrested

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with enquiries into a fatal crash on Whitehouse Road in Edinburgh involving a bin lorry and a school boy.

The incident happened around 8.20am on Friday, 1 March, near to the junction with Braehead Road. Thomas Wong, 11, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are continuing.
