Seven men arrested and charged in connection with large cannabis cultivation in King Street, Kilmarnock

Seven men have been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery of a large cannabis cultivation within a derelict building in King Street, Kilmarnock.

Officers made the discovery after being called to a report of suspicious activity in the area around 4am on Thursday, 7 March, 2024.

Enquiries are ongoing to confirm the total value of the recovery however the plants found within the building have an estimated street value of up to £150,000.

The seven men are due to appear before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, 8 March, 2024, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
