Appeal for information following wilful fires at public toilets in Campbeltown

We are appealing for information following three wilful fire-raisings within the public toilets on Bolgam Street, Campbeltown.

The first occurred between 7.30am and 5.30pm on Wednesday, 28 February, 2024.

The second and third happened on Monday, 11 March, between 12pm and 5.30pm.

There was a further incident of damage to the toilets between 7.30am and 5.30pm on Tuesday, 6 February.

Constable Sharon Carr said: “It’s vital we find out who is responsible for these incidents, which are extremely reckless and resulted in damage to a public resource.

“This behaviour demonstrates a total disregard for members of the public who use these facilities and the staff who are responsible for cleaning them.

“I’d urge anyone with information to contact us. No matter how significant you believe the information you have is, we want to hear from you.”

Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 3073 of 23 March, 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
