Body recovered from River Clyde, near Pointhouse Place, Glasgow

Around 9.20am on Thursday, 4 January, 2024, a man’s body was recovered from the River Clyde near Pointhouse Place in Glasgow.

No formal identification has taken place, however, officers believe the man to be 50-year-old Michael Patrick Dougan who was reported missing from Kirkton Avenue in Glasgow on Thursday, 21 December, 2023.

His next of kin have been informed and enquiries are ongoing. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
