Appeal following theft of motocross bikes in the New Abbey area, south of Dumfries

Detectives in Dumfries are appealing for information following a break-in to a farm in the New Abbey area.

Two Honda CRF450R and one KTM 350 SXF motocross bikes were taken sometime overnight between Tuesday, 16 January, and Wednesday, 17 January, 2024.

Detective Constable Mark McLachan said: “I am asking anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch, particularly if you saw vehicles packed nearby or anyone in the area who seemed out of place.

“If you were driving and have dash-cam that could help with our investigation then please made contact with us.

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0500 of Wednesday, 17 January, or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
