Update: Body found in River Tay, Aberfeldy

Officers investigating the discovery of a body in the River Tay in Aberfeldy have identified a man who is believed to be the deceased. Formal identification is yet to take place and the man’s next of kin has been informed.

The man’s body was discovered by a member of the public near to Wades Bridge on Saturday, 17 August, 2024.

Detective Sergeant Stan Gilroy said: "We would like to thank the public for assisting with our enquiries whilst we worked to identify this man and notify his family."
