Appeal for information following wilful vehicle fire in Galashiels

Detectives are appealing for information following a wilful vehicle fire in Galashiels.

Between 12.30am and 1am on Sunday, 25 August, 2024 emergency services were called to a vehicle on fire on Windyknowe Road. This resulted in damage to a garage and second vehicle.

There were no reports of injuries and the fire is being treated as wilful.

Detective Constable Liam Myers, Galashiels Police Station, said: “I’m appealing to anyone with information on what happened to get in touch with us.

“If you have doorbell cameras, private CCTV or a dashcam, please review your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
