Man charged following a serious assault in Rothesay

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a serious assault in Rothesay.

The assault happened while a 43-year-old man was walking his dog in community gardens on Mill Street near Russell Street around five past midnight on Sunday, 5 March, 2023.

The 26-year-old will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court at a later date.
