Death of woman in Fishcross

Police enquiries are continuing following the death of a 74-year-old woman in Fishcross on Sunday, 19 March.

Around 7.35am, police received a report that 74-year-old Catherine Pryde had died within a house in the Engine Green area.

Following a post mortem examination, the death was confirmed as murder and the investigation is ongoing. Officers are following a positive line of enquiry and there is not thought to be any wider threat to the public.

The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
