Serious road crash on Kirriemuir Road, Forfar

Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after a serious road crash in Forfar on Friday, 25 August.

Around 7.55am, police were called to the crash involving a Skoda Citigo on Kirriemuir Road.

Officers attended and the road was closed. The 84-year-old driver was taken by Ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The road was due to reopen around 12.45pm.

Sergeant Kevin Wilkie of the Road Policing Unit at Perth said: “Our investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing and I would appeal to any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist our enquiries to contact us.

“I am also keen to gather any dash-cam footage and would ask anyone who holds this to please get in touch.”

Information should be passed to 101 with the incident number 0638 of 25 August.
