Man arrested and charged following serious crash on Crown Street, Aberdeen

Police in Aberdeen can confirm that a 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a crash, which took place on Crown Street in the early hours of Tuesday, 11 October, 2022.

The incident happened around 1.40am and involved a single vehicle.

The man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today (Thursday, 20 October, 2022), having received treatment at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the incident.

A 19-year-old woman was also taken to hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

Officers attempted to stop the car prior to the crash and Police Scotland has therefore referred the matter to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC), as is standard procedure.
