Man arrested and charged in connection with two wilful fires in Kilmarnock

A 60-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with two wilful fires in Kilmarnock on Friday, 20 May, 2022.

Around 7.55pm, police and emergency services were called to a fire at a property on King Street in Kilmarnock town centre.

A short time after, at around 10.55pm, police were made aware of another fire outside a building on Sandbed Lane.

No one was injured.

The 60-year-old man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today (27 May, 2022).
