Motorcyclist dies in hospital after Ayrshire crash

A motorcyclist has died in hospital after a crash involving a van in Kilmarnock.

The incident happened around 2.10pm on Tuesday, 7 June at Moorfield Industrial Estate in the town.

The 45-year-old male rider of the motorcycle was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he died during the evening of Saturday, 11 June.

The 39-year-old male driver of the van was uninjured.
