Teenagers charged over serious assault in Kirkintilloch

Two male youths have been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault on a woman in Kirkintilloch.

The incident happened around 11.55pm on Thursday, 21 July at Townhead in the town.

A 41-year-old woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to a serious injury.

The two males, 17 and 16, have been charged with a number of offences and are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
