Five charged following Royal Exchange Square disturbance, Glasgow

Police in Glasgow can confirm five males have been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance on Royal Exchange Square.

The incident took place around 9.55pm on Thursday, 30 June, 2022. Officers attended and traced the individuals involved at a number of nearby streets.

Three 18-year-old men, a 17-year-old man and a 15-year-old male youth were arrested in connection with various road traffic and disorder offences, including possession of offensive weapons.

Inspector Ryan Curran said: “Anyone with information or potential footage of this incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 3793 of 30 June.”
