Update - sexual assault in Paisley

The 31-year-old man arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a woman in Paisley has been charged.

The incident happened around 1.30am on Sunday, 31 July, 2022, in the Forbes Place area of the town centre.

The victim, a 41-year-old woman, was left shaken as a result of the incident and is currently being provided support by specialist officers.

The man is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 2 August, 2022.
