Male youth arrested and charged following assault in Greenock

Police Scotland can confirm that 16-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault in Greenock.

The incident happened between 11pm on Saturday, 27 August and 12.20am on Sunday, 28 August at the junction of Kilmalcolm Road and Corlic Street.

A 15-year-old male youth was taken to The Royal Children’s Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious injuries.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
