Appeal following serious road crash in Aberdeen

Road Policing officers in the North East are appealing for witnesses following a serious road crash on the Baillieswells Road in Aberdeen.

The incident happened around 10.20am on Saturday, 27 August, 2022, when a silver Volkswagen Polo left the road and struck a tree.

The 88-year-old female driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

The road was closed for 5 hours to allow collision investigation take place.

Sergeant Steve Manson, of North East Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone with information to get in touch.

“If you were in the area and witnessed the crash, or have any potential dashcam footage which could assist our investigation, please call police on 101, quoting incident 1230 of 27 August.”
