Wilful fireraising at Airdrie retail park

Detectives are appealing for information after a wilful fireraising at a retail park in Airdrie on Monday, 25 April.

 

Around 1.55am on Monday, officers were called to a report of a fire set at the side and the rear of the B&M store in the retail park on Gartlea Road, Airdrie.

 

The fire was extinguished and police enquiries are ongoing.

 

Detective Sergeant Steven Halliday of Coatbridge Police Station said: “We have been carrying out enquiries in the area and we are viewing CCTV images to gather more information on whoever is responsible for setting this fire.

 

“If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area early on Monday morning, or have any information that may assist our investigation, please contact officers through 101 quoting reference 0202 of 25 April. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
