Advice for those attending the Scottish Grand National

On Saturday, 2 April, the Scottish Grand National will take place at Ayr Racecourse.

Local police are encouraging those attending to think ahead and plan how they will travel to and from the event.

Inspector Joanne Logan said: “This popular event attracts a large crowd with over 13,000 people expected to attend. We want to ensure that everyone enjoys their day. The roads, rail network and local taxis will be busier than usual and we are reminding people to plan their travel in advance and leave more time for their journey.”
