Area Commander Chief Inspector Hazel Scott is the Area Commander responsible for the daily management of local personnel, performance management, community engagement and partnership working within the Johnstone and Renfrew areas of Renfrewshire. She works to ensure that key performance indicators and outcomes within the Local Police Plan are delivered. Hazel is based at Renfrew Police Station. Renfrew Area Command Renfrewshire borders the south-west of Glasgow and contains many commuter towns and villages. It also has boundaries with North Ayrshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and West Dumbartonshire across the Erskine Bridge. Although by area it is one of Scotland's smallest unitary authorities (excluding the cities), it is one of the country's most populous areas. It is home to iconic sites such as the Braehead and Xscape Complex and Glasgow Airport, which attract over 20 million and 7 million customers per year respectively. In addition the largest of the four campuses that make up the University of West of Scotland is situated in the area. The campus occupies over 20 acres and is home to teaching, lecture rooms, workshops, laboratories and student accommodation.
