Appeal to help trace missing man Kyle Cowan from Troon

Officers in Ayrshire are appealing for information to help trace 32-year-old Kyle Cowan.

Kyle was last seen around 4.30pm on Thursday, 25 September, 2025 when he was dropped off at the Collennan Reservoir in Troon with the intention of going camping.

He is described as around 5ft 10 in tall, of medium build, with brown short hair. He was wearing a sandals, shorts, a lightweight jumper and carrying a backpack when last seen.

Sergeant Steven Bruce said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Kyle and want to make sure he is ok.

"If anyone has seen anyone matching his description since yesterday afternoon, please get in contact with the police."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2974 of 25 September, 2025.
