Robbery at shop on Hamilton Place, Cumnock
Detectives are continuing their enquiries and now appealing to the public for any assistance after a robbery at a shop in Cumnock on Monday, 20 October, 2025.
Around 2.40pm, a man entered the 123 ABC shop on Hamilton Place, threatened a staff member with a knife and demanded money. The suspect made off with a three-figure sum of cash.
The male member of staff was uninjured but badly shaken following the robbery.
The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 10ins and of slim build with red hair. He was wearing a long cream or yellow duffel coat, black trousers and brown shoes. He was also wearing a backpack.
Detective Constable Chris Pringle said: "Since this robbery was reported, we have been carrying out enquiries and checking CCTV from in and around the area to identify the man responsible.
"I would ask anyone who was in the area of Hamilton Place on Monday afternoon who saw anything suspicious, or who has any information or footage that may assist to please contact us."
