Appeal after vehicles in East Lothian were damaged
We are appealing for information after vehicles were damaged in Laburnum Avenue in Port Seton between July and October, 2025.
Officers are investigating a wilful vehicle fire on Tuesday, 8 July, around 11.30pm.
On Friday, 17 October between 8.20pm and 8.40pm the tyres of a motorhome were damaged. The same vehicle’s windscreen was smashed between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on Friday, 31 October.
These incidents are being treated as linked and officers are appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage.
Police are keen to speak to a male seen in the area around the time of the damage on Friday, 31. He is described as around 6ft tall, of medium build and was wearing a distinctive black jumper with a large white Adidas logo on the front.
Community Policing Constable Frances Stevenson said: "The latest vandalism occurred on Halloween. The area would have been busy at that time and there will have been witnesses.
“The male was seen running towards Fisher Road. If anyone recognises the description or saw anyone acting suspiciously, please call 101 quoting incident 3096 of 31 October, or use the Contact Us form on the Police Scotland website.
