Re-appeal to trace Alan Aird, reported missing in Glasgow

Officers are continuing to appeal for the help of the public to trace a man reported missing in Glasgow.

Alan Aird, 47, was reported missing on Monday 3 November after leaving an address in the Boyd Street area of the city on Saturday, 1 November, 2025.

He was last seen in a premises on Pollokshaws in the Shawlands area of Glasgow around 11.30am time on Tuesday, 4 November, 2025.

Alan is described as being of slim build, 5ft 7ins, with short ginger hair.

He has a scar on his chin and a tattoo of a skeleton on his left arm.

When last seen he was wearing a grey Boss hoodie, an orange jacket, brown jeans and trainers.

Inspector Kevin Dougall, Cathcart Police Office, said: “We remain concerned for Alan’s welfare and we want to ensure that he is safe and well. I am asking anyone who has seen him to get in touch.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident 1169 of 3 November.
