Re-appeal to trace 26-year-old James Smith missing from Humberside, who travelled to Scotland

Officers are re-appealing for any information that may help trace 26-year-old James Smith from Humberside, who travelled to Scotland.
James has been missing since Sunday, 26 October, 2025.
He is described as white, around 6ft 1ins and of slim build with short auburn hair.
Inspector Andy Barron said: “On 26 October 2025, we believe James drove from Humberside to the Lochearnhead area of Perthshire in his white Volkswagen Amarok. He then drove to the Isle of Arran and left there by boat on Saturday, 8 November. His car was discovered at the Cnoc Na Dail track on Arran two days later.
“Around 12.45pm on Saturday, 8 November, James boarded the West Coast Motors bus at Tarbert. He arrived at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow around 3.55pm. He was seen at a hotel in Tarbert around 6pm on Sunday, 9 November, 2025, having returned to that area.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing with transport agencies to establish where James may have then headed to after Tarbert. Officers, led by specialist search advisors have been carrying out searches, enquiries and gathering CCTV in areas he has travelled to, working to establish his exact movements.
“As time passes we are becoming increasingly concerned for James. We are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have seen him or has information on his whereabouts to contact us. If you have seen or spoken to him in the past two weeks, please let us know.
“If you have any information, no matter how small it may seem, we urge you to contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting incident number 2708 of 10 November, 2025.”
