Appeal following serious assault in Elgin
Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Elgin.
Around 3.15pm on Friday, 14 November, 2025, we were called to a report of a disturbance on Harrow Inn Close where two men were involved in an altercation outside a business premises.
A 55-year-old man was taken to hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition.
The suspect is described as white, aged in his 20s, of slim build with short ginger hair, and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing black jogging bottoms, gloves, a black Napapijr hooded jacket and was riding a mountain bike on South Street moments before the incident.
Detective Inspector Andrew Wilson said: “I understand this incident will be concerning for the local community, and I can reassure them that Detectives are following several lines of enquiry, including interviewing witnesses and reviewing relevant CCTV footage.
“I am also appealing directly to the man involved to come forward at this stage and speak to officers.”
