Appeal to help trace 22-year-old missing from Mayfield area of Edinburgh

Officers are asking for the help of the public to trace a 22-year-old man reported missing from Edinburgh.

Andrej Berlansky last spoke with family and friends around 5am on Friday, 27 June, and has not been in contact with anyone since which is out of character.

He was last seen in the Mayfield area of the city around 7.25pm on Thursday, 26 June.

Andrej is described as white, around 6ft tall, of muscular build with short dark hair.

It is not known what he was wearing when he went missing.

Inspector Jonathan Wilson said: “There has been no further contact with Andrej since 5am on Friday, 27 June, and concerns are growing for his welfare.

“We are asking anyone who has seen Andrej or knows where he might be to get in touch with us immediately.”

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 4470 of 27 June, 2025.
