Appeal to help trace man missing in Motherwell

Officers are appealing for the public's help to trace John Hutchison, 60, who has been reported missing in Motherwell.

John was last seen on CCTV leaving an address in the Shields Drive area of the town around 2.50am on Monday, 23 June, 2025.

He is described as being around 5ft 6ins, of slim build, and bald. He wears metal-framed glasses and is known to use a walking stick. When last seen, he was wearing a dark blue hooded jacket, dark-coloured trousers and black shoes.

Inspector Robert Bryce said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for John's welfare and are continuing to carry out enquiries to trace him.

"I would urge anyone who may have seen John or has any information that could help us to get in touch as soon as possible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0671 of 4 July, 2025.
