Appeal to trace 17-year-old Chloe Gallagher missing from Saltcoats

Officers are appealing for the help of the public to trace 17-year-old Chloe Gallagher, who has been reported missing from Saltcoats.

Chloe was last seen in the Vernon Street area of the town around midday on Tuesday, 9 December 2025.

She is described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, with distinct red or auburn hair. When last seen she was wearing a half-length black puffer style jacket, with a furry hood, black leggings and white and pink trainers.

Sergeant Barry Hendren said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Chloe and need to make sure she is safe.

"If anyone has seen her or someone matching her description please get in touch with police. Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 0973 of 9 December 2025.”
